A little about brain waves

Brain waves are electrical impulses generated by the neurons in the brain.

All matter in the universe consists of electrical vibration and so does our physical body and even every cell and atom in the body. According to the laws of physics, electromagnetic fields are created around every body in which electricity flows. These fields vibrate, and the rate or speed at which they vibrate is called frequency. Frequency units are measured in Hertz - HZ.

For example, if a field pulses 100 times per second (that is, 100 events per second) - it will read 100 Hz, and so on.

In modern western society, when we are in a normal state of consciousness or everyday wakefulness, the brain vibrates mainly in waves called beta and gamma waves.

Beta waves - 12-38 Hz.

Beta waves represent our normal state of consciousness when attention is directed to cognitive tasks and the outside world. Beta is a 'fast wave' activity and is controlled when we are alert, attentive and engaged in problem solving, decision making and focused mental activity.

Low beta (12-15 Hz) is considered 'fast idle', or thoughtful thought, beta (15-22 Hz) is high involvement and actively understanding things.

High beta (22-38 Hz) highly complex thought, integration of new experiences, high anxiety or excitement. Continuous processing at a high frequency is not an efficient way to activate our brain, and it can cause tension and difficulties in relaxation, and if present at night, may cause difficulties in regulating the mind and difficulty falling asleep.

Gamma waves- 30-100 Hz
Gamma brain waves have the highest frequencies of all brain waves.
They are associated with peak concentration and high levels of cognitive function. Low levels of gamma activity have been associated with learning difficulties, impaired mental processing and limited memory, while high gamma activity is correlated with high IQ, compassion, excellent memory and happiness.
Gamma and Theta also work together in meditative states.

Prolonged listening to the sounds and frequencies of the didgeridoo and other musical instruments allows one to easily enter the alpha  theta or delta state.

Alpha? Theta? delta?

Alpha waves - (8 to 12 Hz)

Master moments of quiet thought and meditation states.

Alpha is considered the "power of now", to be here and in the present of the moment.

This is the resting state of the brain, like a car at a traffic light.

Alpha waves help overall mental coordination, calmness and alertness, mind/body integration and learning.

Theta waves - (4 to 7.5 Hz)

It is the frequency of the brain during light sleep, dream sleep and during deep meditation.

Staying in the theta plane is very rare for most people these days.
The quality of being in theta state is the possibility to stop for a moment, open a small window between the plans, pressures and tensions of everyday life and simply be in this moment.

Beyond the calmness and peace that being brings with it, there is a golden opportunity for us to meet parts of us that are not revealed to us on a daily basis.
To bring awareness to significant parts within us that are necessary for us to meet in order to allow medicine to enter and bring a fundamental and beneficial change to our perspective of life and reality. are especially involved in daydreams and sleep.
Theta is often observed in young children, but in older children and adults, it tends to occur mainly during meditative, drowsy, or sleep times (but not in the deepest stages of sleep).
When we are awake, excess theta levels can cause a sense of dispersion or levitation,

Delta waves - is the lowest frequency (0.5 to 4 Hz)

which is characterized by minimal brain activity and exists in a state of deep sleep without dreams.
Slow brain waves, which begin to appear in stage 3 of the sleep cycle, and in stage 4 control almost all brain activity.
At this stage, healing and regeneration arise, and are considered essential to the restorative properties of sleep.

These are the optimal frequencies for the human body to heal itself, the mental and physical body when we "rearrange" the connections in the brain from a very deep relaxation
